Taking Back the Goddess Isis

Merry Meet! Even though I honor the goddess Sekhmet as my goddess I've decided to dedicate my altar to the goddess Isis. I'm also doing this for all the girls and women that are named Isis. Get just gets me so mad that Isis has such a horrible connection now and the lack of understanding or even learning is mind boggling. What I'm worried about is the Fellowship of Isis will be targeted by narrow minded morons that don't know what a book looks like. Thankfully we have groups like the Pagan Federation that is working hard to get people to stop using the name Isis. I'm hoping, over time, more people will read and learn about Isis and learn that the Goddess Isis isn't the same as the Terrorist group. That will be a wonderful day. Blessed Be!

Changing My Path, Well Sort Of

Merry Meet! My path has changed, sort of, from Greek Wicca to Egyptian Wicca. Egyptian Wicca, known as Tamerian Wicca, is a form of Wicca that honors the Egyptian gods, does some Egyptian rituals, and practices Wicca. That's what I view it as and that's what I practice it as. We call upon the four sons of Horus to represent the four elements. There's another from of Wicca called Kemetic Wicca, which I hadn't heard of. So this blog will be about that and I'll change the name as well. Enjoy the rest of your week. Blessed Be!

Joined the Tumblr Witchy Community

Merry Meet! It's official! Yesterday I joined the Tumblr Witchy/Wiccan community. So excited to see all the Tumblr blogs out there that's either Wiccan or Witchcraft related. Being part of this form of the witchy community is something that I've been wanting to do for awhile. And, now, I'm apart of it. Looking forward to connecting with others and being more social. Blessed Be!

My Imbolc

Image
Merry Meet! Two days ago was Imbolc, the first of the three spring festivals. It marks the half-way point in winter and a time that we start getting ready for the coming of the warm weather. I really enjoyed my Imbolc and I just loved the energies that were floating around. Did a full Wiccan ritual and honored the gods Hermes and Demeter. Here's a photo of my altar. Blessed Be!

Blog Changing and Path Changing

Merry Meet! I've decided to change my blog name as my path has changed. I'm still doing Wicca but now I practice Greek Wicca. I just love Greek Wicca, known as Hellenistic Wicca, and I'm enjoying my time with Hecate, Apollon, and Artemis. One thing that I will tell you is that Greek Wicca is NOT Hellenism. It's not a recon religion, but a Neo-Pagan religion. I'm not going to go around and pretend that I'm practicing a reconstructionist religion, because I'm not. Looking forward to continuing to learn. Blessed Be!
